  • longways, circles, and mixers

  • zesty dances with a couple of waltzes sprinkled throughout

  • American Traditional, English Country, Australian Bush, Ceilidh, Square Dances

  • no fancy footwork - mostly easy, zesty walking steps

THE MUSIC

  • lively, toe-tapping, old-time fiddle tunes

  • traditional reels, jigs, waltzes, polkas, schottisches

  • live or recorded music

If you choose to dance to live music, I can recommend a band that matches your musical choice (Irish, Southern, English Country, French Canadian, etc.) or I would be happy to work with your choice of musicians.

I recommend no more than one hour of called dances, but if you want to continue dancing you may want to transition into contemporary music and dance.

Featured Musicians:  String Theory

TESTIMONIALS

""You were terrific!  I never imagined that anyone could take a group of rowdy novices and call the dances so that they felt like pros!  An amazing gift you have.  Thanks for making the dancing a success.  I know you had truly pulled off a coup when I saw that everyone from teenagers to grandmothers were dancing and loving it!" - T. Ford, Dallas, 2006

"Thank you for being such a wonderful part of the wedding!  You did a fantastic job and many people commented on how much fun they had, and how you made it fun for them.  You definitely have a gift for what you do." -   K. Francis, Denton, 2016
